Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Neighbor Leveled Our Trees

I have a neighbor that I share a side of my lot with. They started hacking down trees about a month ago and I mentioned then that I think they are rather close to our property lines. When we measured by the map that we have of the lots they were litterally two inches away from taking down our trees. Now a month later they hired her uncle to bulldoze the rest of the trees. I am sure they are on our property line now by at least a foot. When I mentioned this to my neighbors father he again feigns stupidity and says he thinks they are still on her property even though the man hired for the job even told her dad they were on our property. I am more upset they won't admit that they are on our property than I am they have bulldozed our trees and they now have a clear view of our house. Other than suing them what can be done to rectify this situation so I can have my trees back? Thanks!

Re: Neighbor Leveled Our Trees

Other than suing you ask? Perhaps, if you offered to take them all to breakfast that your neigbors then would agree to make things right with regard to your trees.
