protection of the first amendment at a private school

my private christian school has recently threatened suspension and even expulison to several students with ''unchristian'' topics and information on their MySpace accounts (webpages designed for people to express their opinions and tell others about themselves, as well as conerse with freinds online). My question is whether or not my school has the right to restrict what a student can or cannot say about themselves or others on the internet, even if it is unrelated to the school itself. The First Amendment only limits the power of the government, and has no effect on disputes between private parties. If the students had reason to know that their postings would violate school policy and subject them to the kinds of discipline you describe, the First Amendment will not help them.
