Writing on car. Free speech, or too far?
I listen to a band that has a song called ''tearing down the borders''. It is a phrase refering to equality amongst all people, and all races. Something i strongly support. I recently spray painted it on the side of my car. I wanted to make sure that this phrase being on my car is protected by the first amendment. Is this phrase concidered free speech, or is it being on my car going to far, and asking for arrest? Thanks.

You are absolutely, 100% protected by both the Federal Consitutution and the Washington State Constitution. If anyone ever arrests you for having this on the side of your car, call me.

The message itself is absolutely protected as free speech. As long as your paint job doesn't impede your ability to see through your windows, I don't see why the police would care about it at all.
