Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

My wife has a K-3 Visa and it will expire soon. We were lied to and ripped off by an attorney that was supposedly filing our green card doc.s and everything else that you file for at the same time for my immigrant wife new to the states from Russia. Now a couple of years later after being blow off by the attorney and told there isn't even any paper work or files that can be found after she moved to a new office. How do I file for an extension of visa time so we can re-file everything all over again?

Please Help!!!

Thx , Blaine

You need to apply for your wife's adjustment of status (green card) and a work permit (if she didn't get one yet). That's the best thing to do under this unfortunate circumstances.

I agree with the above posting in terms of what you need to do. Once you file for adjustment of status, it won't matter that the K3 expiration date passes, since you have a pending application to adjust status.
