Headlight stop

Is it legal for police to stop you for a headlight out during daylight hours?

Yes. The motor vehicle code requires that all vehicles be equipped with working headlights. Although head lamps are not required to be ligted at all times, they must be in working order. RCW 46.37.010(1)
