Does a parent with joint legal custody have a right to know who their children are staying with and where they will be staying when the primary parent is not in town? Also, does the primary parent in a joint custody case have the right to deny visitation to the other parent when they are outr of town even if there is a court ordered visitation schedule set in place?

Yes, a parent with joint legal custody has a right to know who their children are staying with and where they will be staying when the primary parent is not in town. A right to know is different than having legal grounds to know.
No, the primary parent in a joint custody case does not have the right to deny visitation to the other parent when they are out of town even if there is a court ordered visitation schedule set in place. NOTE, you must follow the court ordered visitation schedule.
