conflict of interest regarding child custody

what do I do if my ex-husbands brother in-law is the best well known lawyer in a small county,who also his family is one of the founders of the town. asked to have moved but no luck. we have joint custody but he has made our son bekieve that i do not want to see him, I have not seen my son in 3 years, etc... please help.. any advice???

You have the option to continue to file motions for change of venue or change of judge if you feel that you cannot get a fair hearing. You also may be able to file for contempt if your ex-husband has prevented the parenting time seeing your son for three years. If the ruling are against you, you could try an appeal if warranted, which will not be heard by a judge in your county. However, these are general approaches for information purposes only.
