Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Community Property Husband's Property

My husband inherited a property before we were married free and clear of any liens. The house was in need of major renovation so he procured a home equity loan in his name. We both pay 50% of the payment of this loan. The house ended up being totally demolished. If we divorce or he passes away, is any part of this community property since I am paying on the loan too?

Re: Community Property Husband's Property

It is not community property. In case of death or divorce he owes you for your share of the money spent on the property during the marriage.
