Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

family law

will getting married terminate a guardianship or conservatorship? My daughter in law lives in Wadena Mn. Her father has guardianship/conservatoship on her for the soul purpose of keeping her natural born mother from seeing her and to keep her from leaving the state for any reason. She is neither mentaly nor physically disabled, she is 23 years old, works a full time job as a supervisor at Wal-Mart in the clothing department lives by herself, pays her own rent and has a fianc that wants to marry her. She has been told by her controlling father that she is not aloud to have free access to her money, the rent she pays is to her fathers company ultimately landing in his pocket and has her convinced that she is unable to function without him. She would like to get married; can he stop that from happening? And if not will it void his control over her life and finances?

Re: family law

The Guardianship is not automatically terminated by marriage. She would have to petition the court to have the Guardianship or Conservatorship removed.
