Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

When does the clock start for a motion for reconsideration? Does it start when the opinion is recited in court or when the written order is filed? I think it should be when the written order is filed but I want to be sure. What happens if the order is not received before the lapse of the statutory time to file a motion for reconsideration?

The time runs from when the order is received. Usually the order is signed and received immediately after the judge's ruling. When it is not received in court and is merely mailed, the time begins to run when it is received. A.lso, the twentieth day can not fall on a day the Court was not open. If the twentieth day falls on the weekend or a holiday, the twentieth day is the Court's next business day.
