Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

I have won a judgement for 10,000.00 with interest in NJ. How do I go about collecting it when the persons wages are already being garnished for other offenses. This person has no property or anything of value that can be collected on. Can I place another garnishment on wages? what is my next step? Will I ever see a dime?

My web site has a link to the court's site. There you can find information on collection judgments in NJ. Note that the procedure differs depending on whether the judgment is from Special Civil Part or from Superior Court proper. If you want to save time and aggravation, you might give the collection matter to an attorney who handles collections of that type on a regular basis. Usually, you can work out a percentage fee arrangement so that you are not out of pocket for anything.

You will likely have to dig hard and push hard to collect your money.

I have been dealing with similar deadbeats since 1987. The key is information, to find a method to extract payment. Not easy. You may want to turn this over to a tough old lawyer like me, and see if I can pull some money out of him. I would collect a fee only from the money extracted from him.

Please give me a call to talk it over. The telephone discussion will be free of charge, and I will let you know what I believe I can do to assist you further. My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Just get a wage execution and it will be paid after the other executions are paid, however long from now that is.
