Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I just recently filed for an uncontested divorce I received my RJI in may how long after would it take for my divorce to finalize, also I was not able to get a signature for my husband due to the fact I can not locate him would I know if everything went ok soon would they let me know if anything was done wrong. Any help would be appreciated thank you

It depends. If you filed in Bronx County (I hope not), it could take almost a year before the court gets back to you with any requests for corrections, which there undoubtedly will be. Even under normal circumstances, it is very difficult to get things 100% right in a divorce by publication, but dealing with the Bronx is even worse. Get ready for a VERY long process, which may not even get you divorced in the end.
