Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Demand Letter Without an Attorney?

There's a person I know who is writing untrue things about on a internet bulletin borad. I believe this may be negatively affecting my life as some people have been avoiding me. Can I write my own demand letter to this person or should I have an attorney do it? I just don't want to write anything that may hurt my case if the poster does not take down what they have posted. I also don't want to spend money on an attorney if I don't have to. I will however if the poster does not remove the postings after they receive my demand letter.

You could try doing it yourself. Won't hurt to try.
