Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Unemployment Compensation after I quit because of stressful working environment.

On Nov 7,2004,I fell in the stockroom and sustained 3 broken ribs. Within a few days I was ordered to return to work if I wanted to keep getting paid and the duties were to be ''sedentary'' but were not! I came down with the flu and the associated congestion, lungs filling with fluid, etc., that I called out sick frequently. Without going into all those details and the horrendous conditions in that regard, after about 3 months I was evaluated by the company doc and told to return to original job which was a commissioned, fast-paced, requiring physical stamina, etc. job. My broken ribs and torn tendons were not fully healed! This was so stressful I developed ''Shingles'' and family doc told me to stay home 2 weeks during possible ''contagious'' period, then returned to work. The itching, burning, ''hair-pulling'' sensations of the Post Herpetic Neuralgia that accompanied the Shingles was delibitating to me, but I kept plugging away at my job, until one day I had a 'nervous breakdown' and was sent home by a supervisor. I requested a leave of absence. During L.O.A. my mother became ill, was hospitalized and my stress/anxiety level led me feel like I couldn't return to work. I quit- applied for U.C.- A hearing is sched. Do I need a lawyer?

Whenever there is a contested legal matter an attorney cann't hurt. The fact scenario that you laid out is such that a decision could be rendered either way and therefor the help from an attorney could make the difference. I offer free consultations.
