Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Is a move in inspection form a legal document, as my leasing agent has lost my move in inspection form. I don't want to lose my security deposit. I just want to know if it isn't in there file does it technically mean one doesn't exist, and we would then be able to our security deposit back.

I guess you didn't keep a copy for yourself? The lease may have referenced it which would indicate that it was incorporated into the lease and made a part of it. If it doesn't and you can't produce one it will be up to a DJ to figure it out. Not having one would not work to your advantage if the Landlord claims you destroyed things that were destroyed when you moved in. They would then not give you back your deposit and you would not be able to prove those conditions existed when you moved in. Best of luck....
