Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Vistation and Child Support

My daughter's (13 yrs. old) mother has relocated to South Carolina. I live in New York. I would like a Court to determine how much child support she should be getting. I would like vistation rights to see my daughter.

Question: How would I go about doing this?

Re: Vistation and Child Support

If you cannot agree with your daughter's mother on these issues, you can commence proceedings. Whether you can file a petition in NY depends primarily on how long your daughter has been living with her mother in SC. If it has been longer than six months, you should probably first consult with an attorney in that state. In any event, you should consult an attorney ASAP.
