Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

Forged Signature on Will

Can a will from 2001 that was originally not contested be contested if it appears that the signature was forged? If it is found to be forged would the previous version of the will be valid?

Re: Forged Signature on Will

Has the will been admitted to probate yet? Is the estate still pending or has it been closed? Assuming you can still challenge the will, the previous version would still be admissable as the final will if it can be located.

If it turns out that the current will is forged, the previous will would govern the terms of distribution.
