Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

I am a 13 year old boy. On Dec 19, 2009, I was hiking in the san jacinto wilderness alone after hiking the skyline trail, the 5th hardest dayhike in the country when I hit a patch of ice and got lost. I had a GPS device with me that pointed to a landmark 1/2 mile away. I did not have any technical hiking gear, so I used sticks to get through the ice and kicked holes in the ice. Two people saw me and took me to the ranger station where my dad was charged with child endangerment. I will be in court in a few weeks. I dont know anything about what I can say in court. Can I say that this case was a big waste of time? All the research on child endangerment I have done are about drugs, driving, or sexual abuse. I'M DESPERATE!!! I REALLY NEED HELP!!!

You aren't in trouble, your Dad is. It certainly sounds crazy that he would be charged with child endangerment. If I were him, I would fight the charges in court. But he will need to speak with a lawyer in your area and, if possible, he should have the lawyer go to court with him.

"You" are not in court, your father is. He needs an attorney to deal with these serious charges. The attorney can then give advice based upon all the facts and evidence. If he is serious about getting counsel, feel free to contact me.
