Conservatorship vs. POA

I am an only child and currently have conservatorship over my mother in the state of MS., she has resided in the state of California for the past 3 yrs. and her home has been sold in MS, she has a vacant lot and a small cash asset from the sell of her home, I would like to move her assets to California can I do this by obtaining POA in the state of Ca. She is currently in a care facility in CA which is what her primary cash assets are used for. Thank you

Your conservator powers allow you to do whatever necessary, including sale of property and control of bank accounts, by following the court reporting and approval process in MS. If you and she both live here, you could file in CA for conservatorship here, without difficulty, and drop the MS one. If that is the case, feel free to contact me for help if desired.
