Legal Question in Family Law in California

pregnant girlfriend on drugs

my girlfriend of almost 7 years is pregnant.In order to end our pot addiction, I made arraingements with my family in Louisianna to come stay with them, and was led to believe that she was in agreement. When I told her that I was ready to buy the tickets, she backed out. I was not happy, but agreed to stay if she would quit smoking. I have just learned that she did not, and it seems that i am being set up to take take the blame for her deceit. What can I do to protect myself from her so that I can do what needs to be done for my child. I am not wealthy and will barely be able to provide a safe home in time for the baby's arrival. If I spend what I have saved since learning she was pregnant on a lawyer. I will fall short of being able to get into an apartment.
