Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My husband left me last week. He said he married me just to get US citizenship. He took away all the money, jewellery, furniture and my car . What shoul I do ?

Did he get citizenship? Either way, you need to file for divorce. How long were you married? He took community property, but he probably took your separate property as well. You need a divorce judgment to itemize who gets what personal and real property.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. You need to see a divorce lawyer right away. Your husband has the right to divorce you, but that does not mean he can take all of your property. You and your lawyer will need to act quickly in order to get back what is yours, so don't delay.
