Age of building

1. How Can I find out the year of the apartment building I live in ?

2. How can I find out if there should be rent control for this apartment building ?

You could ask the building manager or just contact the City's permits department and they should have information on when it was constructed. Next you can ask the City's rent Board if the building is under rent control rules.

I am assuming you are in North Hollywood (by your zip code).

1-You can check the title and deeds at the local Hall of Records. You might also be able to find it at zillow.com.

2-North Hollywood does not have rent contol, unless it is very recent. The following website lists rent control cities in California.
