Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

post C-section hysterectomy

My wife had an emergency c-section, for a still born, where the surgeon noted nicking an artery, then repairing it. Over a day later, by accident, when a large amount of blood dropped into the toilet, they figured out she was still bleeding. With too much blood lost the doctor decided there was no time to attempt a lengthy repair and a hysterectomy was performed. We lost a baby and the ability to have more children. Is there a case?

Hello, I am sorry about your wife's experience at the hospital. It is possible that she has legitimate negligence claims, but I would need to know more facts in order to determine that.

If you would like to discuss this, please follow up.

Thanks,

The only answer that will be of any value to you is from a medical expert. Your opinion and mine are not relevant. Without a medical opinion that there was malpractice, you can't file a lawsuit. It does sound like very poor medical practice, so feel free to contact me for help in this, if serious about pursuing it.
