Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

Family Leave Act

I have been employed for the past year with my company and am in good standing. I have a daughter who is in a rehab facility and will be there until June. Her visitation day is Sunday from noon until five. I am required to work from noon until six on Sundays. Can I use the Family Leave Act when I request leaving by 3:30 (a half hour drive time) to have an hour visit with her every other week? They have been reluctant to let me off to see her.

Re: Family Leave Act

Yes, you probably can. You need to request the leave and if they deny it contact a lawyer. If you would like to discuss with my office, please let me know.
