Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida
Raise denied because of FMLA Leave of Absence
My annual raise was denied this year because I was on an employer-approved Family Medical Leave of Absence for 10 weeks, my reviewer said it impacted the ''Dependability'' and ''Atendance and Punctuality'' sections of my performance review, which were marked as ''Satisfactory''. Everything else was marked as ''Excellent''. Is this legal? If not, what recourse do I have?

Re: Raise denied because of FMLA Leave of Absence
You may have a claim for FMLA retaliation but if you are still working for them, you may not want to have to sue them over this issue. I would address the issue in writing with Human Resources and see where it goes. IF you have further questions, you can contact my office. Thanks.
