Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Employer Making Wrongful Accusations
My employer is trying to tell me that my license was suspended last year for a duration of about two weeks, but I have given them written letters, a DMV report, and two MVR reports saying otherwise, they are threatening to demote or fire me. What are my rights?

You potentially have a defamation action against your employer. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this further. [email protected]. Best, Matthew

It depends on your contract. While you may have a defamation action, it does not appear that you have been damages by the words alone.
