tenant rights

I have a rental warehouse/office

where my business is housed. With the downturn I've been struggling and have fallen behind in my rent.My Lanlord has changed the locks and want to keep my office and construction equipment in lew of back rent. Is this legal

No. He cannot lock you out of the unit.
