Tree fell on truck at house I am renting

Is the landlord responsible for the damage or at least the insurance deductable to get the truck repaired?

Barring an unusual provision in your lease, if the tree belonged to your landlord, then your insurance company is likely to seek repayment of damages from him if you do not. He may have insurance that will cover your loss.
