Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My ex-wife was ordered to pay me child support for our 14 year old son. She submitted her payroll stubs as income. My question is: she recieves child support from another divorce, is she obligated to show that as income that would change the amount owed to myself in our case?

Her other support is not technically considered income for purposes of calculating child support. However, in Illinois it can be considered to offset household expenses thereby increasing the amount available for support. A skilled attorney can make this argument in attempt to increase your support order. I suggest you speak with a local attorney handling family law matters.
