Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My ex-wife and I have shared custody but our boys residence is her address. I have them half the time, pay child support every month, supply the insurance for our children, and then pay her half of whatever medical bills she has paid. The divorce decree states that I have to pay of SCHOOL FEES and EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. I was told by my lawyer that school supplies and school clothes are not part of school fees. She is now arguing that I must pay her half of whatever she spends on those things because they are school fees. I am so confused. I give her so much money as it is. Is it true that school supplies and clothes are part of school fees?

If your attorney tells you that these items were not included in the school fees, then I would defer to his or her opinion.
I second that statement. Supplies and clothes are not fees (unless they are uniforms - then a judge might order you to pay half)
