Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Hello

My question is about listing price on a bank owned property

I made an offer on a property under listing price and was countered above listing price

I waited until the price came down and I just submitted another offer, this time

$2000.00 above the listing price.

Can I once again be countered with a higher price or are they legally obligated

to accept my offer?

Thank you very much

David

Without knowing more, it sounds like they are acting pretty goofy, but there is no legal obligation to accept your offer. Perhaps you are including some contingencies they do not like?
