Legal Question in Legal Ethics in India

Hello, I have been cheated by a software developer living in Romania, I have paid him USD 2000 so far via oDesk, a mediating website. The developer has suddenly gone missing, refuses to pick up my phones or answer my emails. I am currently based in India and would like to take legal action against the developer. Any advise would be gold dust. Please elaborate on my options. Thank you

You can create lot of legal problems for this guy in Romania . Approach his embassy , make a complaint to concerned authority in the embassy and the reason of your payment.
