Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

My girlfriend was engaged last year with her now ex. They signed a contract with a local reception hall for $1000.00. They broke up late last year and also cancelled the reception hall. She has paid the reception hall $600 toward the $1000 contract. He has not paid one penny. We plus the reception hall owners have tried numerous of times to get him to pay. What would happen if she was to stop paying and they go to court? Would the judge look at what she has paid and make him pay the rest?

She has to pay, since she signed the contract. Whether he also signed it doesn't matter; the reception hall still gets its money regardless of the relationship betweeen your fiancee and her bf.
