Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I had stored a car at my aunt's house, during the time it was there, it had been vandalized. She refused to put it on her home owners insurance and at first said she would "make it right" but now she just wants me to take a loss. The one who vandalized it was a cousin staying with her at the time. The damage is significant and she even gave him a loaded gun to shoot ouside, which also got the car. The car wasn't insured or tagged, it was simple parked there. What are my legal options?

Thank You

Allen

Sue your cousin for the damages he caused. You may have a case against your aunt if she was being compensated for storing the car. It will be more dificult to pursue her if she was doing it for free, however.
