Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Louisana Child Right to Choose Age

I am in Tampa, Florida and my ex-wife is remarried and living in Louisana now with a military man. We have a 13 year old son that she has custody over. My son has expressed sincerely to me that he wants to live here with me and my wife in Tampa. My ex-wife obviously will not stand for this. What can I do?

Re: Louisana Child Right to Choose Age

The child is now a resident of Louisiana.Maybe their laws are more liberal than Froida's. Here, a child cannot dictate where he wants to live. If you took her to court in FL, you would lose unless you can show the child is being abused or neglected.
