Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Fiance and I have moved to different county. His oldest son does not wish to come with us. Fiances parents want to petition for custody. Is there another way to grant them ability to make medical desicions and such with out losing custody of him?
I am fearful that inlaws will try to take other two children who have moved with us. Want to cover ourselves.

Under the current state of Maryland law, the odds of a third party getting custody over the objection of a natural parent are extremely small. Why does your fiance need to give anyone the ability to make medical decisions for the son? The fact that he doesn't live with his parent doesn't prevent the parent from making such decisions. Talk to a competent domestic relations attorney regarding the law regarding custody actions between parents and non-parents.
