Do you mean "use and possession"? A court does not award "custody" of property. However, in Maryland, the court has the authority to award a custodial parent use and possession of a family home and/or family use personal property while the case is pending, and for a maximum of three years after the divorce. The court also has the authority, under certain circumstances and subject to specific requirements, to transfer ownership of such property. I'm happy to try to provide a more detailed answer if you want to clarify your question.
