Can an employee hold on to / take company property in the event that the employee has not paid wages for the past 8 weeks.

The employee cannot take company property. Instead, the employee should report the employer to the Department of Labor and/or sue the employer in small claims court (depending on the amount owed). If you have additional questions, you can contact me.
