Time limit to probate will
As executor of a will, How long do I have to go to an attorney and have the will probated. Is there a time limit.

Although there is no requirement that you employ an attorney to probate a Will, if you have been named the executor of a Will you should begin the probate process promptly after the death of the testator.
And, although it is not required, it is very prudent to consult an attorney who is competent in the areas of probate and estates.

A will should be submitted for Probate not more than 90 days after date of death, keeping in mind that estate tax returns, if required, must be filed within 9 months of death.
