Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child Visitation

I am planning on filing for divorce. My concern is visition between my husband and 3-year-old daughter. I want him to be a part of her life, however, he has a drinking problem. I am concerned for her safety during the times she would be under his care. Do you have any suggestions? Could I ask the court for supervised visitation? Thank you.

Re: Child Visitation

Hello, I have received a copy of you posting regarding visitation. Yes, the Court can require supervised visitation. Ask you attorney to include that request in any Ex Parte Orders that are entered. If you need further information please feel free to call my associate, Helene Phillips. Our firm concentrates in only a few areas of law and domestic matters is one of them. Good Luck. John C.
