Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Author's use of photos in autobiography

Legal implications of my use of photos of individuals, family, friends, and acquaintences in my published autobiography. Text of book uses false names in some cases. May photos be captioned with same false names to match text? Do I need subjects' permission to use photos of them which I photographed; of previously published photos of them which I did not photophraph myself? (While the book may embarass some individuals, there is no slander--it is all true.)

Don't use the pictures. You could get sued and would probably lose. William S. Stern
