Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

doctor obligation to see patients

Does a doctor have a legal responsibility to see

their patients who are in good standing when the

patient is in need of medical care?

My son recently was very ill and we were told by

his doctor that they were too busy to see him, and

referred us to the emergency room. We are in

good standing with the office, and patients there

for some time. Did the office have a legal

responsiblity to see us on the day we requested

their medical services?
