Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

Bladder cut during C-section

With the birth of my youngest child (July 01') I had a cesarean section. Since the birth of my son I have had a terrible time urinating, and it feels as if my insides are going to fall out (literally). I also have to wear pads at night because of occasional leakage.

I never had any problems with this with the births of my other two children. Suspicious, I requested a copy of my medical records that state that there was an unintentional laceration to bladder. While I understand I signed a release showing these mistakes can happen, I was not told they did this. Would I have a case?

Re: Bladder cut during C-section

It's possible you have a case. Bladder lacerations can occur during a "c" section. How the problem is dealt with once it occurs is where the malpractice can occur.

We would like to discuss your case in more detail. You may contact our office at (800) 209-4000 or (248) 626-5100.

Congratulations on the birth and we look forward to speaking with you.
