Is it legal for an employee to solicit it's employers current client list to start their own business? And if so, is there legal grounds to file suit against the employee or terminate the employee immediately?

Re: Employee termination
It may be, especially if there is a contract or non-compete/non-solicitation agreement in place. Also, if the employee acts adverse to the interest of employer. If the business is similar or identical, it is more likely to be considered adverse. If the employee is at-will, termination can occur without cause. This area of law is complex and fact specific cases govern. Call or email for further assistance.
