Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

general practice

my now ex-husband and I previously

signed for a loan to pay off his credit

card debt. To get the loan we had to

use my car as collateral. Now that

we have split, he said he would take

responsibility and pay for the loan.

He hasn't, and my car has been

repossessed for a second time

because of his irresponsibility. Is

there a way to get my name taken

off the loan? Is it better to get my

car back or let it go to auction and let

the loan (which is to pay his debt) go

into default instead of paying

someone else's 12,000.00 debt?
