Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Child custody issue

Moved to MN from AZ, have joint custody with ex. I have been primary caregiver for last 5 years. Ex has spent little time with child, nor provided for him. Child is 11. Requested child relocation, ex fought it and judge declined my request. He was unwilling to hear out case, would not interview child or do drug testing on ex. even though admitted drug user. Judge made faces and rolled eyes thru proceedings. Obviously annoyed. Ex's home is filthy, child does not want to stay in AZ. My attorney was new and charged a lot but did nothing to help my case. Now no more money to fight, want my son back. How does one fight the obviously corrupt system in AZ from MN?? Appeal?? Need serious advice. No clue what to do. Now Ex's attorney is harassing me. I have done nothing but love and provide for my son, just to have him taken from me with no explanation. Someone please help me.

Re: Child custody issue

You would need an Arizona attorney since that is the location where the case is docketed. If the court has ruled on the matter, your only option would be an appeal.
