Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

state lines

Does the father of my child have automatic legal rights to just take my daughter anytime he so chooses and can i deny him visitation? Do I have to tell him where I live? He doesn't pay child support and only wants to visit just because he feels like it and doesn't help me. Can I say that she has to stay in minnesota? There is no help to get her back if she is taken over the state line into wisconson.

Re: state lines

If you weren't married to the father, then he has no custody or parenting time rights at all unless and until he goes to court to establish them.
