Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

My checks are being garnished my last garnished put at balance 479.00 but they didnt recieve check til after the did another court order which has wrong amount of oweing 920.00 . I did call debtor and they sent over a statement showing every payment made and what is stil left on balance but my employer still wants to take out 920.00 even tho I only owe 479.00 what do I do about this mishap

You may have to file a Motion to Quash the Garnishemt/execution.. You shoudl consult direclty with an attorne in yrou area, as to hwo you do that. Many attorneys offer a free or low cost initial consultation. The drafting of this motion shoudl nto cost you too much. If they are overpaid, the Judgmetn creditor has to return the excess to you upon demand. You shoudl let the judmgent creditor knwo tha tyour employer may be taking out too much, to see if they wish to contact the employer, or be ready to send you a refund check.
