theft

im being charged with theft by unauthorized taking. ive been indicted for the charge. my question is if im innocent, which i am. how do i go about a case so serious to maintain my innocence?

An indictment indicates that your case is a felony. A felony is erious and can impact your right to vote and carry a firearm. Theft is serious, as a conviction will impact your ability to get a job. Many employers will not hire someone with a theft conviction. Clearly, if you did not commit the crime then you need to fight the charges. And, it will be a fight. If you are charged the prosecutor believes that you are guilty and will seek a conviction. There are some good agressive criminal defense lawyers in NH. You need to seek out the advice of an attoreny with a focus in criminal defense.
