Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

hello,

I am on SSI disability . My bank account has been levied by an attorney through a civil judgement that I was not aware of. They took 356.00 of the only 480.00 I had to live on for the month. The court officer has not returned my phone calls. What can I do to get my money back? Is this legal?

Thank you for any help.

Frances

If your SSI is immunity to a levy you should file an objection to the levy with the court.
